The Reznor 96512 Auto Limit Switch is a temperature-sensitive safety control with its contact state switching with variations in internal temperatures. It closes the control circuit when the temperature rises above the range of approximately 140°F and opens the circuit when the conditions drop back to 220°F when used in furnaces and in packaged HVAC systems. The switch is fitted in a heat sensitive location and connected to the control circuitry as per specifications. In reaction to temperature changes this part assists in guarding against overheating of parts, aids in proper cycling and leads to reliable and stable system operation.
