The Lennox 11W50 is a limit control, which is a safety device installed in different Lennox HVAC products such as furnaces and air handlers. It controls temperature and halts operation at a certain temperature the operator sets as the maximum temperature for the system. This auto shut-down function minimizes the occurrence of overheating some of the internal components of the system that may cause the whole system to fail.
